General Rules – Scramble Format

• All players on a team tee off in any chosen order. One drive is selected for the team to play. (NOTE: See restriction of drives used for each team member.)

• No player may hit a successive shot on any hole. (NOTE: Special exception under 3-Man Team.) In other words, if your drive is chosen, you may hit the next shot (to obtain distance, line, etc.) but it may not be used for the team's score on that hole. The other players may place their balls within 1 club length, no closer to the hole from the chosen position and play their shot, except on the green, where the distance shall be 2 inches, no closer to the hole.

• All team members shall hit sequentially from the best shot location until the ball is holed out.

o Caution: If the ball is on the green (i.e., a gimme) mark your ball, don't tap it in until the other members of the team have putted, because you will have holed out and have to use that score! Give your team a chance to make the putt from the original position!

• Unless otherwise chosen, the lowest handicapped player of the team shall be the team captain. He shall be responsible for recording the drives used and scoring for each hole.

Four-Man Team Rules
• Each player on a team must use their drive 4 times.

Two-Man Low Net

• This is a basic 18-hole stroke play competition where a player's course handicap is subtracted from his gross score at the end of the round.

• For example, if a player has a course handicap of 12 and shoots 86, his final low-net score will be 86 - 12 = 74.

Handicap Information

The USGA Handicap System with Equitable Stroke Control is used.

• Know and play by the Rules of Golf.
• Post your adjusted gross score, Course Rating and Slope for every round of golf played at home or away.

Every member must post an adjusted gross score for every 18 hole round of golf played under the Rules of Golf in match, stroke or best ball play. When you do not post a score, the Handicap Chairman will proceed as follows: First, he will record either a ‘Pen’ (the lowest differential in the player’s last 20 scores) or the actual score, whichever results in the lowest differential. Second, if a player is habitual in failing to post scores, or if a player’s Index is not indicative of his ability, the Board may change that player’s Index by written notification to USGA.

Tournament Guests

Guests will be accommodated only upon approval by the Tournament Director. Guests will be charged full tournament entry fee; however, they will not be eligible for tournament prizes. This policy does not apply to the Member/Guest Tournament. Guests cannot be entered if the field is full.

Oversubscribed Tournaments & Field Selection

Priority to all tournaments will be given to Association members first. Guests will be removed from the field and / or receive later start times to accommodate the members of the Association. All payments received from those persons not able to start the tournament will be returned immediately to the owner. The priority of a guest will be at the discretion of the Board of the Club for a local tournament and the Board of the Association for an Association tournament. If the Board is not available for consultation, the Tournament Director will have the decision.

Winter Rules

When authorized by the COMMITTEE the following procedure will be followed: Except in a hazard, you may mark, pick, clean, and place ball within one club length, no closer to the hole. Ball lying off green may not be placed on green. The Committee reserves the right to adjust the slope and rating to account for altered playing conditions.

• Caution: Always assume the tournament is played with the ball down (i.e. as it lies) unless explicitly stated otherwise by the Tournament Director.

Club Championship Qualifier

In order for a member to play in the Association Championship, he must have played in a minimum of two (2) Local Club events during the current year.
